What Protinus sees, and what it doesn't.
Protinus watches the window you're working in — the app's name, the page title, sometimes the visible text. It does not record your screen. It does not stream to the cloud. It does not train on what you do.
When a task needs intelligence, Protinus sends only the relevant snippet to the right model. Files, history, and credentials stay on your machine, encrypted.

No. ChatGPT tells you how to do something. Protinus does it. The difference is the click-through: Protinus drives your apps, browser, and files directly. ChatGPT lives in a tab.
Which AI models does Protinus use?
Whichever one is best for the task at hand. Protinus benchmarks models weekly and routes your request to the right one — Claude, GPT, Gemini, or an on-device model — based on what the job needs. You don’t pick. We do.
Does Protinus work offline?
Some tasks, yes. File organization, video compression, system settings, and many app actions run locally with no internet at all. Tasks that require web search or large-model reasoning need a connection.
What happens if Protinus makes a mistake?
Anything irreversible — payments, sent messages, deleted files — requires your final click. For everything else, Protinus logs every step and supports one-click undo where the system allows.
Can I see what Protinus is doing?
Yes. A live activity panel shows the plan, the current step, and every tool Protinus is using. You can pause or stop at any point.
Is Protinus free?
Free during beta. Pricing will be announced before general release. Bring-your-own API key supported for power users.
